I am currently serving Belvedere on days 1/6, Castelar on days 2/7 and 3/8, Adams on days 4/9 and Franklin on days 5/10 as the Gifted and Talented Education Facilitator. I have worked in the field of education for over 35 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNO, a Masters degree in Resource and Special Education from UNL, an endorsement in ESL from UNO and an endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of Iowa. Students qualify for Gifted and Talented services by achieving high test scores, grades and teacher nominations based on classroom performance, creativity and leadership. The students have scheduled classes once a week. Specialized G/T instruction includes but is not limited to, math, language arts, critical thinking and creative enrichment activities using the G/T framework.
